Description: In the Laboratory for Functional Materials and Applied Mechanics of University of Ulsan, one

or two postdoctoral positions are available for the following research subjects:

(1) Development of Electroactive Polymer Actuators and Sensors,

(2) Experimental Study on Nano Mechanical Properties of Solids, and

(3) Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Defects in Solids.

These positions will support the research projects of Prof. Seungtae Choi, funded by the National Research

Foundation of Korea. The detailed information can be accessed via the website of the Functional Materials

Eligibility/Requirements: We are looking for a candidate holding (or close to finishing) a Ph.D. in

mechanical engineering, materials science, or equivalent. The applicants having some experience in

programming (FORTRAN or alike) are preferred. The applicants should have a good knowledge of the

English language (both written and spoken).

Conditions of employment: The position is based on an employment contract of 1 year (12 months),

and can be extended to another 1 year. The estimated monthly salary will be 2.5~3.0 million won,

depending on progress. The position will start from August or September of 2013.
