-Research experience ≤ 4 years prior to October 1st

activity (work, studies, etc) in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years
immediately prior to October 1st 2013.

The Ph.D. position is in the framework of the Marie
Curie ITN – ENDURE Network focusing on training researchers in the use of
advanced composites for construction. Task of the research programme is the use of FRP bars as
internal reinforcement of concrete bridge beams, slabs and structural elements.
These reinforced concrete elements are subjected to long term varying loads
(e.g. traffic load), and are therefore susceptible to fatigue failures. The
research programme will investigate the mechanical response of full scale
components reinforced with FRP bars during the long term cyclic loading.
