Job Title: Project Leader, CAE
Location: Auburn Hills, MI 48326
Responsibilities To lead and participate in the effort of performing vibration/modal analysis on mechanical systems using predictive analysis tools to reduce resonance and optimize performance. Coordinates and provides engineering analysis services, predominately with finite element analysis, to the engineering community in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Required:
· Master Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
· 3+ years’ hands-on experience with FEA application in system vibration and modal analysis
· 3+ years‘ experience in engineering user support and training
· Proficient with FEA software packages (ABAQUS, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, Hyperworks, etc.)
· Proficient with analytical analysis packages (MATLAB, MATHEMATICA, etc.) for signal processing
· Familiar with parametric CAD systems (UG NX, Catia, Solidworks, etc.)
· Proficient with basic Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
· Good Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to respond positively to situations
· Ability to prioritize work assignments and handle frequent interruptions
· Customer service skills that demonstrate the ability to respond to user problems with a sense of urgency
Preferred:
· Doctorate Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
· 3+ years’ experience with Altair (Hyperworks, Simlab) family products
· 3+ years’ experience with SIMULIA (ABAQUS, Isight) products
· Experience in software development in a CAE environment
· Formal education in vibration control and modal analysis
· Formal training in commercial FEA solver (ABAQUS or LS-DYNA)
