Looking for suggestions and comments on PhD research Project

Dear Researchers and Industry Engineers, 

In this letter I am looking for some comments and industrial supports for my PhD research on non-contact measurement for machinery maintenance.

 I am currently a Mechanical & Maintenance Engineering PhD candidate in the University of Manchester.You may be interested in our new invention. In my work a laser optical mouse, which is usually used as a computer peripheral device, has been investigated to be a monitoring device employed in non-contact measurement of the instantaneous shaft speed of rotating machine. This method is low cost, wireless transmission, real-time analysis, easy installation, easy operation and easy extension.
