“Mechanics of Flexible/Stretchable Electronics”
on
18th U.S. National Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics
(USNC/TAM 2018)
June 4-9, 2018, Chicago, Illinois, USA
As an organized symposium on the 18th U.S. National Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics to be held from June 4 to June 9, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago, “Mechanics of Flexible/Stretchable Electronics” (#342) aims to provide a platform for gathering researchers to exchange and discuss the latest advances in the multidisciplinary field of flexible and stretchable electronic/photonic devices based on low dimensional materials, bio-integrated or bio-inspired electronics, origami/kirigami inspired electronics that have wide applications involving soft materials and structures. The symposium is now calling for participants who are interested in the following topics related to flexible/stretchable electronics (but not limited to):
-
Methods of manufacturing, assembly and characterizations
-
Fundamental mechanisms of deformation and design strategies
-
Impact behavior and dynamics
-
Multiphysics behavior
-
Thermal managements
-
Fatigue and reliabilities
-
Fluid-structure interactions
-
Mechanics related to healthcare applications
-
Biocompatibility of implanted/biointegrated devices
Important dates include:
-
November 10, 2017 Deadline of abstract submission
-
December 10, 2017 Notification of acceptance
-
June 4-9, 2018 Conference dates
The conference website http://sites.northwestern.edu/usnctam2018/ is now open for abstract submission. Detailed instructions for abstract submission is posted on this website.
