Post-doctoral Position at the University of Tennessee in Vibration Isolation

A position as a post-doctoral research associate is available in the Innovative and Smart Infrastructure Group (ISIG) at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. This post-doc will work with Dr. Wierschem on a research project related to vibration isolation. This post-doc position is expected to begin as soon as January 2021; however, later start dates will be considered. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following fields: structural dynamics, nonlinear dynamics, numerical optimization, closed-form approximate analysis, prototype design, experimental testing, signal processing, and vibration/acoustics.  The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Civil, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or a related field; however, interested candidates with other backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
