Job Description
The objective of this internship is to numerically simulate various field service tools and products to accelerate product development.
Requirements
- Ph.D. candidacy in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics with a specialty in solid mechanics.
- In-depth understanding of continuum mechanics, elasticity, plasticity, fracture mechanics, dynamic systems, mechanical vibrations, finite element methods, probabilistic and statistical methods, and materials engineering.
- Extensive experience in large-scale, scientific coding is required.
- Experience in experimental characterization and numerical modeling of advanced materials will be desired.
- Solid knowledge of ABAQUS or Ansys is essential. Experience in developing user subroutines and Python scripts for ABAQUS or Ansys is a plus.
- Excellent team spirit and communication skills
