Call for Paper: Micromachines Special Issue on Bioinspired Devices and Systems

Dear Colleagues, 

Micromachines (ISSN 2072-666X, IF 2.891) is currently running a Special Issue entitled “Novel Devices and Advanced Fabrication in Emerging Bioinspired Systems”. I’m serving as the Guest Editor for this themed issue which is open for submission now. 

This special issue seeks to showcase research papers, short communications, and review articles that focus on the novel design, fabrication, and applications of all kinds of bioinspired devices and systems, included but not limited to, bioinspired imaging sensors, energy devices, flexible electronics, functional materials and structures, bioinspired robotics, bioinspired medical devices, and more. Emerging manufacturing techniques and fundamental mechanics studies for the development of bioinspired systems are also welcome. Topics of interests include, but not limited to the following areas:

• Bioinspired adaptive materials and structures
• Bioinspired electronics and sensors
• Bioinspired fabrication technique
• Bioinspired robotics
• Biomimetics
• Biohybrids

The official submission deadline for this special issue is 31 October 2022. You may submit your manuscript now or up until the deadline. Submitted papers should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
