Postdoctoral positions at Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Postdoctoral positions are open in Qu’s group at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Those having (about to get) a PhD degree in the areas of solid/fluid mechanics, fluid-structure dynamics, smart material engineering are welcome to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the fabrication and application of smart materials and structures.

1.   Research Topics

(1) Mechanics of smart materials and flexible structures;

(2) Fabrication and characterization of stimuli‐responsive smart materials;

(3) Design and dynamics of smart materials and structures;

(4) Fluid mechanics/fluid-solid-acoustic coupling dynamics.

2.   Essential Criteria

PhD degree in one of the following disciplines: Solid/Fluid Mechanics, Material Engineering, Acoustic Engineering.

(1) Got the PhD degree in less than 3 years and with an age below 35;

(2) Established track record in high-quality scientific publications;

(3) Evidence in research innovation and project organization;

(4) Available for a 2-3 years’ full-time post-doctoral research work;

(5) Skilled in CAE simulations and programming, experiments, English reading and writing;

3.   Package

(1) The annual salary (before tax) is not less than 300, 000 RMB. Candidates satisfying the eligibility will be supported to apply for the National and Shanghai Talent Program, and those who are funded will enjoy relevant benefits.

(2) Fringe benefits are subjected to the relevant post-doctoral regulations of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Bonuses will be provided according to the work performance.

(3) Postdoctoral research fellows can apply for research funding during their project work.

(4) Postdoctoral research fellows with outstanding academic achievements will be recommended to apply for faculty positions in the university when they complete a three-years contracts.

上海交通大学瞿叶高教授研究团队博士后招聘启事

本研究团队依托上海交通大学机械系统与振动国家重点实验室，长期从事动力学与控制、流固声耦合动力学基础理论和关键技术研究。根据承担的科研任务及团队发展需要，现面向海内外公开招聘博士后。

一、研究方向

1. 智能软材料与柔性结构力学；

2. 智能软材料制备及力学性能表征；

3. 智能材料与结构动力学设计与分析；

4. 流体力学/流固声耦合动力学理论。

二、招聘条件

1. 身心健康，年龄不超过35周岁；

2. 已获得或即将获得力学、材料等相关专业的博士学位；

3. 具有良好的英文读写能力，熟练阅读英文文献；

4. 掌握主要的CAE分析软件，具备一定的科研编程能力；

5. 具有严谨学术态度，敬业精神，团队合作意识和沟通协调能力。

三、岗位职责

1. 参与课题组科研项目或独立承担研究项目；

2. 发表高水平学术论文；

3. 独立/协助申报各类科研项目；

4. 协助指导本科生/研究生工作和实验室日常管理。

四、岗位待遇

瞿叶高，上海交通大学教授、机械与动力工程学院副院长，振动、冲击、噪声研究所所长。主要从事非线性动力学与控制理论与应用研究，发表论文120余篇，其中SCI论文90余篇，出版学术专著1部。主持国家自然科学基金联合基金重点项目、国家优青项目、军科委创新特区重点项目等国家和省部级课题20余项。获教育部自然科学奖一等奖、上海市科技进步一等奖、中国振动工程学会青年科技奖等奖励。担任《Applied Acoustics》副主编以及《力学学报》等多个国内外期刊编委和青年编委。任中国力学学会理性力学和力学中的数学方法专业委员会委员、上海市力学学会振动力学专业委员会副主任，以及中国振动工程学会副秘书长、非线性振动专业委员会委员等。
