I have an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow working on phase-field computational studies of fracture and fatigue in Ti alloys.
Candidates must have a solid background in applied mathematics, solid mechanics, and computational science. Prior knowledge of phase-field methods is an asset but not strictly required. Experience dealing with large scale computing, high-performance computing, and high performance clusters is a must.
The position is supported by the "Structural Alloys for Fatigue Endurance (SAFE)" project jointly supported by the U.S. NSF at Caltech, Carnegie Melon University and Case Western Reserve University and NSERC at McMaster.
