Hi
Is there anyboby to help me. Actually I am facing some problem during the use of SIESTA (Spanish Initiative for Electronic Simulations with Thousands of Atoms) package. The problem is that How to generate the Pseudopotential file. And the use of Vibra utility. During the use of Vibra package i cant able to run it properly.

hi all!
i am a new user of abaqus. i am trying a simple problem of a plate. the plate is made of composite material (orthotropic). i give all the properties correctly. but after submitting the job i get an error that 'laminate type- can be used with plane stress elemnts only'. how could i rectify this? can anyone tell me how to model a plane stress problem in abaqus? what is the significance of plane stress/strain thickness ratio.

Despite the title, the book covers very little specifically on geology. It works through stress, strain, and other tensor quantities, but assumes you know little about the math. Fully worked problems make up the bulk of the book following a few introcutory chapters. I've found it a nice review of the math, but haven't fully explored the solution sections. I got the book from Cabot Science Library here at Harvard. I wouldn't recommend buying it on amazon it's not worth the $72, but it is a nice addition to Timoshenko's theory of elasticity.
Just back from Prof. Mahir Hussein's seminar. He is really one of best physicist I have ever met. In past 30 years, he published more than 200 papers in the field of nuclear resonance, laser accelerated particles etc. There are more than 30 papers published in PRL alone. When input his name " M.Hussein" in arXiv.org, you can easily found 95 papers by him.
