Ph.D. positions are available at the Multiscale Material Modeling Lab at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The Ph.D. students will develop and use tools such as machine learning, finite elements, and molecular dynamics to study the mechanical properties of materials. We have 1 PhD position in 2023 Spring/Fall at SUNY Binghamton, New York.  

The research will be on computational modeling of soft functional composites for electronics applications. You will mainly perform multiphysics finite element simulation (ABAQUS) and nonlinear constitutive modeling.   

A 4-year PhD studentship is available in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University College London. 

One PhD position is available in the Computational Cardiovascular Bioengineering Lab (C2BL) at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University for Fall 2023 entry. The position will focus on cardiac imaging, inverse modeling, and machine learning.

Tissue Mechanics Group at the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, UK), has a postdoctoral research associate position available for 26 months (Grade 7, Salary: £34,308 - £39,745, plus standard academic package of remuneration). The main research area will be computational tissue mechanics (with the option to lead experimental tissue characterisation, depending on experience and interests), with the application area in mechanics-based tumour detection for robot-assisted surgery.
