We are looking for a full time Engineer to assist with
simulation and analysis of nonlinear problems, sometimes with multiphysics
content. Responsibilities include engineering analysis and design. Ph.D. or
Masters Degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, aeronautical
engineering, or physics with some industrial experience preferred. Strong
academic record and references necessary. Experience with finite element method
necessary, and experience with Abaqus or COMSOL desirable. Will collaborate
with other engineers on a range of engineering projects that require strong

Payment: the monthly minimum gross salary for this employment is EUR 2,562.00 (14x per year)
PostDoc (for 6 years, to fill this year)
Requirements: PhD in (Computational) Mechanics, Biomedical Engineering or a related field; the candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong academic and publication record, and the abillity to work independently.
Activities: To teach two autonomous classes per year (Mechanics for Biomedical Engineers, Computational Biomechanics); research to be performed on an international level within the field of "Cardiovascular Solid Mechanics"; to be interested in a habilitation.
Applications are invited for two
postdoctoral research associate positions for
a project funded by the Boeing Co., USA, which is being executed jointly by the
Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry Departments of Indian Institute of
Technology Kanpur. The project involves performing extensive large scale
ab-initio and Molecular Dynamic computations on certain high performance polymers
with a view to understanding their mechanical properties. The research groups
involved in the project have excellent computational facilities for carrying
out these computations. Moreover, both groups have extensive research
