Mode-Mixity computation in 'Interface crack'
Hello everybody,
Hello everybody,
Recently, we have published a series of nine papers about modelling fatigue and damage in short fiber composites. Together, they provide a complete description of modelling of such materials including wavy fiber composites; starting from appropriate homogenization method to component level fatigue simulation. Discussion and feedback on the papers is welcome.

These notes are a part of the notes on linear algebra.
In the attached paper, we have shown that concomitant bending and stretching, whatever their value, concur to make bending stiffness decrease; moreover, concomitant bending and stretching make the stretching stiffness (or the Young modulus) increase until the applied forces reach a threshold value, then they make it decrease. Said differently, graphene is softer to bend when stretched and bent and harder to stretch when bent and moderately stretched.
Hello
I`d like to write a UHYPER for photo-thermal sensitive hydrogels described in the thermodynamic framework. But the photo-chemical term in the energy equation is 7order greater than the others. The other terms are related to stretch and mixing energy they exist also in the temperature sensitive hydrogels energy equations and their UHYPER is valid. I have checked all the coefficients, their orders are all correct.
Is it something wrong with modeling, or I have made a mistake?

ABSTRACT
Hi,
Is it possible to use micromechanical homogenization to simulate damage localization? The analytical procedures that I have come across, mostly gives a homogenized behavior of the composite and is suitable as long as the damage is diffused. Is there a way to obtain the behavior when the defects (for example microcracks) localize into a damage zone? Some lead or suggestions of reference materials would be of great help.
Thanks.
