It is that time again. We are looking for one of you brilliant minds to be the next program director of the Mechanics of Materials and Structures (MoMS) program at the National Science Foundation (NSF).
The Zdeněk P. Bažant Medal was established in 2022 by the Applied Mechanics Division and recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the field of mechanics through research, practice, teaching and/or outstanding leadership. For details, please go to: Zdeněk P. Bažant Medal
The workshop takes place on-line only on June 14 from 2 PM CET. It is intended to serve as a networking event, where interested researchers present their focused domain. The subsequent brainstorming will help us to evaluate whether there is a will for a broader cooperation among the participants, and if to transform this workshop into something more regular.

The Nguyen Lab and Elbert Lab invite applications for a postdoctoral position in data-intensive modeling and analysis of architected polymer blends, starting as soon as possible. The position is part of a funded NSF-DMREF grant to create Materials Architected by Adaptive Processing in accord with Materials Genome Initiative (MGI) goals.

We, the AMD IiSS Technical Committee organizers, are pleased to continue our long-standing tradition of arranging a symposium on "Instabilities in Solids and Structures" at the annual ASME-International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE). The Congress this year will be held in New Orleans, LA during the period of October 29-November 2, 2023.
The "Presentation Only" abstract submission deadline this year is June 23, 2023.
