The research group in Advanced Structural Materials and Nanomaterials (Department of Materials Science, Polytechnic Unviersity of Madrid) is looking for a graduate student to carry out his/her PhD within the framework of a collaborative research project among Michigan State University, IMDEA Materials Institute and the Polytechnic University of Madrid entitled "Understanding the Microstructural Evolution and Deformation Behavior of Mg-Mn-RE Alloys". The project is funded by the NSF of US and Spain within the Materials World Network program.
hi all,
i intend to do a project on temperaure prediction of a steady state rolling tyre due to hysteresis. i want to use abaqus as my solver.
please guide me,from where i have to start?

Polar dielectric based cooling devices are
modeled as a system with two degrees of freedom and represented by either an
entropy-temperature or electric displacement-electric field plane. A typical
thermodynamic energy cyclic path is proposed for polar dielectric as cooling
devices to experience. With the influence of temperature taken into
consideration, the free energy of a thermal electrical coupling system of polar
dielectrics is formulated, and the variation of temperature and entropy, the
absorption of heat, and the work under different electric fields are calculated
for BaTiO3, Pb(ZrxTi1-x)O3, P(VDF-TrFE), and water. And the simulation results
obtained agree well with the recently published experimental data [B. Neese, et
The Department of Structural Engineering at the University Cagliari, ITALY, is
looking for a PhD-student who is interested in pursuing her/his PhD in
Continuum and Structural Mechanics.
The PhD is about innovative materials, in
the context of the theoretical, analytical, numerical and/or experimental modeling
of elastodynamics of micro-structured materials.

let me know if you are interested in long distance research cooperation.
can be as simple as you get my explaination if you want/need to cite my works, or co-authoring paper in things that we can work synergically, or even research collaboration.
the only thing that i will not respond is if you ask for job....:) cant give you that.
here is some of my recent works:

Hi, everyone.
I'm a freshman for ABAQUS User Subroutines. I'm studying laser forming and I wanna use DFLUX to make a Goldak heat source model in my simulation. But I don't know how to do with it. Are there any examples or advice about studying DFLUX?
Many thanks to you all.
