Requesting help on ALE and corpuscular method in simulating airbag in LS-DYNA

Dear all,

 I am currently doing my undergraduate final year project on gas flow dynamics of airbag. I am using LS-Dyna to simulate 3 different gas flow condition (uniform pressure, ALE and corpuscular).

I am able to obtain a simple model of airbag from LS-Prepost website. I am modifying it to learn more on ALE and corpuscular.

Hello everybody,

I have a problem with homogenization of fibre reinforced composite in Abaqus.

I need to get stress components S11, S22, S33, S12, S13, S23 of each element and it's volume to calculate average stress on each element. Here comes the problem: I'm trying to use Field Output calculator but I can't multiply, for example, S11(i)*EVOL(i) because there are no components of S in this calculator and I can only operate with tensor S.

hi this s murugesan from chennai.....i am doing final year M.E CAD CAM...i am doing project on 'delamination analysis in glass fiber reinforced composites using ansys'...pls help me, hw to analyse the laminate composite material by using ansys.....i don know ansys efficiently....so kindly tell me detailed step by step procedure for analysing......

 length = 125 mm; initial crack = 50 mm; laminates = 8 layer; thickness = 4.5 mm; density = 600gmcc.

SPH modelling with LS-Dyna

Dear all,

I'm using LS-Dyna and I would like to model the interaction between a viscous fluid  and metallic substrates.

If everything is working in 3D, it's not the same with the 2D...

Indeed I've used each contact algorithm (I think) in LS-Dyna and each time the contact between my 2D elements and the sph is not initiated.

Does anyone has an explanation to this curious problem ?

Maybe I'm not using the good contact setting.

Or contact between sph and 2D elements is not available in LS-Dyna.
