A PhD position in the area of mechanics of heterogeneous materials is open in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Virgina.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and computational skills, as well as an MS degree in a related field. A TOEFEL score of 90 plus is required for admission into the SEAS PhD Program at the University of Virginia in the case of international student applicants. It is anticipated that the successful applicant will start his/her PhD studies at some point in the spring of 2011. 

Installtion prosedure for franc3d

This is ramana , working as FEA analyst in clyde pumps .

I recently downloaded Franc3D software from web. I could able to create and import model to osm and take to franc3d .

I am unable to rub run BES and Run anays. While I am trying to run BES the following error is coming

Failed trying to execute BES file from Franc3D.

Concrete Smeared Cracking model in Abaqus

Hi
I order to model the cement board material, i am going to use "Concrete Smeared Cracking" model available in Abaqus. I think I have to adjust some variables affecting the properties of the concrete to get the numerical load-deformation response close to that of the cement board.
I will be thankful if anyone help me.
