i am new in using abaqus and also in materials analysis fatigue
so i want to use stress ratio R=-1 and R=0 for analysis an aluminium material
so how to define this in abaqus
is it to take in amplitude (periodic) and define A0 and t0 w also the values of A B? IS THIS CORRECT OR NO
thank you
Hello everyone,
I want to know about extended beam Theory.
Can you help me please about this theory?
Best regards

All,
i`m want to know how deaccelerated load for transient analysis.first load strat accelerated move till mid point of beam after that deaccelerated.for second part please help me
What are the effects of magnetism on stresses while material is under loading condition? Is there any relationship between magnetism and stress?
Thanks!

hello
i have a problem,i am trying it about one years
is:aeroelastic blade of helicopter with abaqus
i find some method for solution:
1.using abaqus for 2D ANALYSIS of cross section(meshed cross section) and then 1D modal analysis modal, then using ZAERO for aerodynamic load,my problem in case is:linking abaqus and zaero.what is solutin method?
I am trying to use material model 58 of ls dyna to simulate a drop tower test on a carbon fibre epoxy composite. However i am getting poor simulation results with very high eroded internal energy values for composite. My parameters are as follows
Hollow composite cylinder (with quad shell elements) of thickness 5mm with a mass of about 120g.
Impactor of weight 82 kg with impact vel of 6 m/s (direction along the longitudinal of composite cylinder)
material model in ls dyna : MAT 58
Hei,
I am a new learner of XFEM. I want to start some exmaples in ABAQUS. The tutorial in ABAQUS is rather crude. If any body has experience, May I have small notes on how to solve problems with XFEM in ABAQUS?
Thank you for your help.

Reliability of micro-gears is known to be adversely affected by wear. In this work we report a strategy to predict local wear with the aim of predicting their effective life span. For the prediction of local wear we start from the relevant model experiments, choice of a suitable wear model and identification of the wear coefficient from these experiments. This wear model is then implemented in an efficient finite element based scheme to predict local wear.
