Is there any optimal way for a membrane conformal with a given surface
Good day, all!
Currently, I'm interested in the conformability of a membrane with a given surface.

hi dear specialists
can any one help me how to find any article related to " finite element analysis of two piece threaded rotating shaft" ?
specially I have to find stress distribution on threaded area due to torsional loading on shaft
thanks for your response....
Dear iMechanica members,
I have recently proposed a novel finite element framework for computational solid mechanics. I hope you find it interesting. I appreciate any feedback.
Towards addressing some long-standing issues in performing explicit elastodynamic simulations of incompressible hyperelastic and elastoplastic material models, finite element formulations based on Bézier elements are developed. The formulations are based on quadratic Bézier triangular and tetrahedral elements. You can download the papers from the following links.
A fully funded PhD position is available as early as Fall, 2019 in Dr. Ning Zhang’s group at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), the department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics. This position is in the general area of mechanics, structural and multifunctional materials with focus on mechanical and thermal properties.
The research topics include:
(1) Hypersonic flight materials;
(2) 2D materials;
(3) Shape memory ceramics/alloys;
(4) High entropy alloys;
(5) Biomaterials.
We are pre-screening candidates for an opening for an application engineer at ANSYS Inc. preferably in Houston, TX.
The job entails providing advanced technical guidance on various aspects of computational Structural Mechanics with a focus on Thin-Walled Structures and Large Deformation to clients in industry and academia.
Dear Colleagues,
Here is our recently published article about the influence of macroscopic deformations on vacancies in Aluminum.

Dear all,
Our group has just published an artile on using experimentally-informed discrete models for calculating elastic and transport properties of cementitious materials. The article is published in the Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering (ASCE) as open access. It can be freely viewed at: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/334036123_Assessing_Hydrated_C…;

A post-doctoral research fellow position is available in IDEA-Lab of Professor Aleksander Czekanski at York University. This position is part of a project to design and build a 3D printer for super soft tissue. The perspective postdoc is expected to have a PhD in biomechanics, biomedical engineering, or a relevant field. The ideal candidate should have experience in the 3D bioprinting of soft tissue (low stiffness), mathematical modelling of soft tissue, and biocompatibility requirements of bioinks. The prospective applicants should be available to start immediately.
