Contour plot
Hi,
I would like to do a contour plot for some output values in Abaqus and I was wondering if it would be easier to do it in Matlab or if there is a function in Abaqus where contour plots could be done.
Hi,
I would like to do a contour plot for some output values in Abaqus and I was wondering if it would be easier to do it in Matlab or if there is a function in Abaqus where contour plots could be done.
I did FEA of nanoindentation with using Abaqus and considered displacement of reference point (RP) on the indenter as a punching tool. Moreover, Abaqus/Explicit method was applied for solving problems.
But I do not know how to plot Force-Indention depth curve via FEA with using Abaqus.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Amin
Recently, unusually high detachment rates of a myosin from actin were reported with a force spectroscopy technique. Here, we show that these high rates may be due to the coupling between bond breaking and state transition. Based on a kinetic model for single myosin, rates of bond breaking between myosin and actin at different nucleotide states are systematically extracted for the first time. Our results clearly indicate that myosins may adopt much higher transition rates than bond breaking rates at different nucleotide states at relatively low forces.

Hello to everybody,
I wrote a VUMAT subroutine for a linear elastic orthotropic material.
In it I defined a state variable controlling the element conversion. When the condition for the conversion is satisfied, the SDV variable is set to be zero.
The subroutine works fine until the conversion criterion is reached. When that happens I get the following error: Abaqus Error: The executable explicit_dp.exe aborted with system error code 1073741819.
Hello all,
I am trying to write damage model using isotropic hardening given in Abaqus example. But in VUHARD section some table is given like "syield=table(1, nvalue)" and eqpl1=table(2,k1+1). I dont understand what does it mean and where to put these values? If anyone can explain, it will be a great help.
Thanks
Abhishek
Hello......
I have a small doubt. It may feel silly, but please reply..
Suppose I have a pendulum and it is impacting onto a structure. The mass of pendulum is 'm' and the intiial velocity is 'v'. The condition is that the KE at the time of impact should be 'E'. E= 0.5*m*v2 .
Now i change the mass of the pendulum to m1 correspondingly velocity should be changed to v1 so that E1=E.
Now i need to compare the force transmitted to the structure. F = ma.
Hello everyone,
The presence of nano-sized coherent precipitates is well known to have crucial impact on the mechanical behaviors of a broad class of shape memory alloys. The local stress gradient at the matrix-precipitate interface is predicted as induced by inter-lattice atomic disregistry. Due to the presence of the local disturbance fields, the preference for activating different martensitic variants, given the uni-directionality thereof, is influenced substantially.
