NSF Travel Award Available for McMat2015

Applications are being accepted from graduate students, postdocs and community college mechanics and materials instructors associated with US institutions to attend the upcoming McMat2015 conference (June 29-July 1, Seattle). A PhD scholarship is available at Paris Institute of Technology (ParisTech) to work on the computational mechanics of crystalline polymers.

Multiscale material design group  in SUNY at StonyBrook is looking for two qualified candidates pursuing PhD degree starting in Fall 2015.

 

One position is on multi-scale simulations ( use MD, FEA) and conducting experiments on progressive failure on compoistes materials

 

Applicants should have a strong background in mechanics and good programming skills. A keen interest in  pursuing knowledge on science is essential.
