I am doing a nonlinear static analysis in abaqus. I am using the below command *INITIAL CONDITIONS,TYPE=HARDENING,SECTION POINTS If I am using this command, it is asking back stress value. What is meant by back stress? How to calculate the back stress ? Can anybody answer for this question?

currently im working on my thesis which majorly focused on the dynamic analysis of masonry (Concrete Masonry Unit) multistorey building structure,
presently, im modelling the 3 story building (including ground floor) of masonry building with block size of (200x400mm) including 10mm thickness of mortar joint

I am working in UEL. I can get the stiffness matrix from fortran to be printed in .msg file.How can I print the global stiffness matrix of the model by using ABAQUS. My model is not big or complicated, so the global stiffness matrix shouldn't be too big!

The Automated Computational Mechanics Laboratory (ACML) at The Ohio State University has an immediate opening for a one-year postdoctoral research associate position. The project is aimed at the application of the finite element method for simulating and optimizing the laser ablation process in aircrafts. The optimization process involves characterizing the optimal laser parameters (e.g., peak power, fluence, intensity, etc.) to maximize the coating removal efficiency while minimizing damage to the substrate material.
