Hi,
Is there some fem code or software that can handle eigenstrain while solving equilibrium equation?
Thanks!
Hi,
I have a question on reading outputs in Abaqus. Is it possible to select apath using nodes without having to click on each node one at a time? Everytime I close Abaqus the path I create goes away and I have to create it again and again.
European Commission' s JRC (Joint Research Centre) is organizing a workshop on physics based modeling of material properties and experimental observations in collaboration with METU (Middle East Technical University). The workshop will be held in Ankara on 22-23 October 2012.
The Workshop will include lectures by keynote speakers: W. Curtin, F. Dunne, L. Malerba, J-F Molinari, A. Needleman and B. Svendsen, and presentations by participants (oral or posters).
Hello everyone,
I hope to find an answer to my problem in this forum.
I'm working on the finite element model of a SMP in order to predict the recovery shape after heating. I'm in trouble about the material properties of this kind of polymer. I run tensile stress test, DMA and TMA in order to characterise the material. However I didn't succeed to write the good command in Ansys to get a shape memory effect.
Does anyone of you has knowledges about SMP ?
Thank you very much,
Michel
hi every one
i have problems with abaqus incrementation , now i do fill min,max and initial increment by trial and error , its not efficiency when running time is much,i will be glad if any one can help my and give me overlook of abaqus incrementation.
thanks
A joint workshop of the ISSMGE TC101-TC105: Experimental
Micromechanics for Geomaterials will be held on 23rd-24th May
2013 at The University of Hong Kong.
Abstracts are now invited, until the 1st October 2012. They should
be 200-300 words in length, written in English, and show relevance
to the theme of the workshop. Abstracts should be sent to Ms Bridget
Lam. Email: owlam [at] hku.hk (owlam[at]hku[dot]hk) (subject: EXP MICRO 2013)
I am using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) with dual particle
approach (please look at the figures in the .ppt file I have attached) to simulate High
Velocity impact phenomena.
The shape function values being 1 at the corner particle and zero at the other particles makes the Jacobian to evaluate the gradients of shape function inconvenient (the jacobian becomes a zero matrix).
The slides explain my problem more clearly.
Kindly go through them and help me.
