Linking ABAQUS With Subroutine Written In FORTRAN 90

Submitted by gnoij on

Hi,

         I am using ABAQUS 6.10.1, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, and Intel Visual Fortran Compiler Professional 11.1.060 on Windows 7 Premium. So far ABAQUS of my system is able to process user subroutine written in FORTRAN 77 (.for file) without any problem. However, may I know is it possible to make ABAQUS process user subroutine written in FORTRAN 90? Waht setting should I change and what format ( .for or .f90 ) should the FORTRAN 90 user subroutine be saved in order for the linking to work?

Modeling time dependent function in Abaqus/CAE

Submitted by HAASE88 on

Hello,

I am very new to Abaqus so I apologize since I am probably using the incorrect terminology for this and asking a fairly simple question.

I would like to model a laser beam striking a part the part is rotating w.r.t. the beam and I would like to model this. I have already set up Cylindrical coordinate and I just want the beam to sweep the surface following the equation:

Theta = Omega * Time

where:

Theta:= Angular Position

Omega:= Angular Velocity

Time:= Time

Lithium-assisted plastic deformation of silicon electrodes in lithium-ion batteries: a first-principles theoretical study

Submitted by Kejie Zhao on

Silicon can host a large amount of lithium, making it a promising electrode for high-capacity lithium-ion batteries.  Recent experiments indicate that silicon experiences large plastic deformation upon Li absorption, which can significantly decrease the stresses induced by lithiation and thus mitigate fracture failure of electrodes. These issues become especially relevant in nanostructured electrodes with confined geometries.
