One fully-funded Ph.D. student position and two postdoctoral openings are available at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague.
Successful candidates will join a newly-formed interdisciplinary group of researchers with expertise in computational mechanics, composite materials, optimization, and mobile and modular robotics. Depending on your research experience and interests, you will contribute either to modeling or experimental investigation of modular pattern-forming mechanical metamaterials built on principles of non-periodic tilings.
The conference series originated in Singapore in 2004 by Professor GR Liu, followed by ICCM2007 in Hiroshima, Japan, ICCM2010 in Zhangjiajie, China, ICCM2012 in Gold Coast, Australia, ICCM2014 at Cambridge, England, ICCM2015 at Auckland, New Zealand, ICCM2016 at Berkeley, USA, ICCM2017 at Guilin, China, and ICCM2018 at Rome, Italy.
Dear Colleagues,
We have the pleasure to invite you at the 5th Fluid-Structure Sound interactions and Control Symposium in Chania, Crete island, Greece, from 27-30 August 2019.
The FSSIC Scientific Committee gave us the honour to organise the fifth FSSIC in the beautiful city of Chania. For the organisation, we benefit from the contribution of Professor Georgios Stavroulakis and Dr. Maria Bakatsaki, of the Technical University of Chania.

We have openings for two positions of post-doc fellow in our research group in the College of Civil Engineering at the Hunan University, China. These positions will focus on the high performance composites in civil engineering, and bio-inspired composites for flexible armor. For the post-doc positions, in addition to a strong understanding of solid mechanics and materials, experience in FE modelling using LS-DYNA is highly desirable. For the faculty positions, the candidate should have strong research background in high performance construction materials (i.e.
