Workhop: From 3D Images to Models with Simpleware Software, Dulles, VA, July 18th

Submitted by Simpleware on

This workshop is aimed at those interested in processing 3D image data. You will experience first-hand how quick and easy it is to visualize 3D image data (CT, MRI, FIB-SEM...), obtain image statistics and carry out segmentation, right through to generate models for CAD design, FE/CFD simulation and 3D printing. If you are working in areas such as Materials Science, Industrial Reverse Engineering and Life Sciences, then this workshop is for you.

Call for joint post-doc research fellowship at TU Darmstadt

Submitted by antcaggiano on

The Institute of Construction and Building Materials (chair Prof. Dr.ir. Eddie Koenders, TU Darmstadt, Germany) is offering to support postdoc researchers with their high-quality application. The postdoctoral fellow should be primarily involved in numerical modeling of building materials. Experimental analyses of the materials (microstructure) characterizations to be used for model validation/calibration purposes could be included as well.

Course1: Characterizing Elastomer Fatigue Behavior for Analysis and Engineering (24th July to 26th July):-

Elastomers are outstanding in their ability to repeatedly endure large deformations, and they are often applied where fatigue performance is critical. Their macromolecular structure gives rise to unique behaviors, and so appropriately specialized experimental methods are needed to characterize, analyze, and design for durability. This 3-day course will give you powerful approaches to anticipate, diagnose and solve fatigue-related issues.
