HW 15

I find the book , An Introduction to the mechanics of solids , is very helpful to me.

It is written by Stephen H. Crandall and Thomas Lardner .

This book offers detailed discussion on modeling, placing emphasis on where the equations come from and why some variable should be zero or can be ignored. Thus I can learn not only the derivation but also the mechanical insight.

It is unthinkable that I can meet you in iMechanics! I often come to this forum, and it is

a good place to learn about mechanics. He he! You have been to  M.I.T for four months

How about you now? Best Regards for you!

Everything goes smooth since I came to the US. I have two classes, one of which is the Solid Mechanics ES240 in Harvard. That's why I have to post such entries here. Cool I like the life in Boston, and feel very happy about almost everything except the food. I miss the dining halls in PKU!!

How about you and other guys in our group? Are you all right???

Everyone is busy doing paper. American dishes are not fit for your taste, and welcome you

come back to pku if you have time. Haha! what is now your research topics? is it about mechanics?
