I am trying to simulate ultrasonic waves(Lamb waves) in a plate. I was wondering what type of step analysis I should use. I am currently using the static/general step but I am not getting good results. Also, what is the difference between the different steps? I have also tried to run the getting started example "Stress Wave Propagation in a Bar" using static/general step analysis but did not get the right result compared to the original dynamic, explicit analysis step used in the example.
