please help me regarding UPPER BOUND ANALYSIS for KINEMATICALLY ADMISSIBLE SOLUTION.AND how can i ploat the hodograph for any kind of indentation..try to help me with the figures..as soon as possible guys.

Dear all,

Do you have any reference about the theory of plasticity? Especially about flow theory and von Mises yield criterion?

For example if I have an effective stress - plastic strain relationship, and I after yielding, I increase my strain again, how can I obtain the increment of the plastic strain and the stress deviator tensor?

about generating moving load

Hi all,

I want to generate moving cyclic load to analyse bridge. I have written dload subroutine. But when I am trying to submit the job, its only showing that "JOB has been submitted for analysis". But its not doing anything. Please help on this issue.

System of unit in abaqus

Dear guys!
I've a qustion about system of units in abaqus!
I thought that the system of units in a model must be the same but in abaqus example "stiffened plate under the blast load" in define the material the density defined in "kg/m^3" but other properties defined in "Pa"!
Is that true? if yes why?

f=[kn/2pi][sqrt(EI/wL^4)] where, kn=3.52 for mode 1, E is Young's modulus, I is moment of Inertia, w is beam width, L is beam length. (this is from Formulas for Stress and Strain, 5th edition by Raymond J. Roark and Warren C. Young).

 I would like to derive this formula. Can any one suugest me any book or any link?
