from NIT calicut , need help in Ansys modeling cracks in offshore tubular joints
hi everyone,
i am doing my masters in offshore structures, as part of my thesis work i am doing fatigue analysis of offshore tubular joints. So , i have modeled the typical joints( T joint, K joint and Y joint) in ansys, now i have to model the cracks to find stress intensity factors, then i ahve to estimate fatigue life.
Can anybody pls tell me how to model the crack in Ansys classic, if u have any tutorials or examples please send me.
