The group of Composite Materials and Dynamics Lab at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has one opening for a Ph.D. scholarship in the field of mechanics of metamaterials and structural health monitoring. The appointment is to commence in Fall 2014 or as early as possible.

We are looking for outstanding candidates for doctoral positions in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Oklahoma State University to work in the area of computational solid mechanics.

Candidates should have earned a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field from an accredited University.

Candidates with a strong background in numerical simulations, finite element analysis, and/or computational solid mechanics will be only considered.

The Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences seeks applicants for the position of Senior Lecturer in Applied Mathematics, with an expected start date of July 1, 2014. Position is available for a postdoctoral fellow to carry out an industry sponsored project on carbon fiber composite modeling. The contract is initiated for one year, with possible extension if work progresses satisfactorily. The research will focus on

 (1)  micromechanics modeling of elastic and viscoplastic behavior of injection molded carbon fiber composites;
