Symposium in honor of Prof. Roger Fosdick at PACAM XIII

Dear Colleague:

Roger Fosdick will be retiring this year from his position as Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota. In his honor, we are organizing a symposium on the "Continuum Mechanics of Solids and Fluids" at PACAM XIII (Thirteenth Pan-American Congress of Applied Mechanics). The conference will be held in Houston, Texas during May 22-24, 2013. More information is available here:

Fundamentals of Fracture - Symposium at DPG2013

We are organizing a symposium titled "Fundamentals of Fracture" at the 2013 Spring Meeting of the German Physical Society, taking place in Regensburg, Germany.



The aim of this international symposium is to bring together specialists from the fields of solid state physics, materials science, continuum mechanics, statistical physics and mathematics to discuss  the latest scientific developments related to fundamental mechanisms and physics of fracture.
