1 PhD position in Personalized Ultrasound-based mechanical characterization of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) - Marie Curie ITN project Meditate - ESR13

General framework: 14 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) will be offered doctoral positions as part of the MeDiTATe project, which is funded through the H2020 program: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Networks – European Industrial Doctorate. The whole MeDiTATe project aims to develop state-of-the-art image based medical Digital Twins of cardiovascular districts for a patient specific prevention and treatment of aneurysms. The individual research projects of each ESR within MeDiTATe are defined across five research tracks:

Elmer FEM-OpenFOAM-Dakota: An open-source framework for data analytics, finite element and finite volume methods

A program for 3 way coupling between open-source software Elmer FEM, OpenFOAM and Dakota has been developed.

The program along with examples can be found here: https://github.com/AnjaliSandip/ElmerFEM-OpenFOAM-Dakota

Capabilities: The interface provides an open-source framework that integrates data analytics, finite element and finite volume methods.

Postdoctoral Research Position at MIT: Multi-Physics Modeling and Analysis of DNA Nanostructures

A postdoctoral position is available to conduct research in
the multi-physics modeling and analysis of DNA-based nanostructures. The
research is conducted jointly with Professors Mark Bathe and Klaus-Jürgen Bathe
at MIT. The candidate should be familiar with nonlinear finite element methods.

Please email your application to:

"Prof. KJ Bathe" <kjb@mit.edu> with the subject heading "Modeling DNA-based Nanostructures".
