2014 Thomas K. Caughey Dynamics Award - Professor Alexander F. Vakakis

The Executive Committee of the ASME Applied Mechanics Division is pleased to announce and congratulate Professor Alexander F. Vakakis, W. Grafton and Lillian B. Wilkins Professor, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, who is the recipient of the 2014 Thomas K. Caughey Dynamics Award. 

Applied Mechanics Division of ASME - 2013 Student Paper Competition

The Applied Mechanics Division of ASME encourages the involvement of graduate students in the activities of the AMD Division.  One of the ways is the sponsorship of the annual Student Paper Cmpetition.  The recipient of this prize was chosen from the Haythornthwaite Student Travel contest award pool sponsored by the Haythornthwaite Foundation.
