*Nodefile in ABAQUS 6.9-3

hey friends,

i am using abaqus 6.9-3 on win7. i need to use *nodefile command in the input file. But when i run the file through GUI it says:

WARNING: The following keywords/parameters are not yet supported by the input file reader:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*BOUNDARY, LOADCASE

*NODEFILE

Please help me.....

also i wud like info on running jobs through command prompt. I have no idea about this.

I have added commands directory to system variables......

Hi everybody

I want to simulate rolling of sheet metals . I want to study the velocity of sheet metal under the deformation when workpiece is under the rollers.  but velocity conours in rolling direction (V1) is very very discrete. however in rolling of billet that the thickness of workpiece is very larger than sheet metal the velocity contours are very good and continual.

what is the problem???

a question about Euler beam in ABAQUS

To eliminate the unwanted axial strain constraint, in Abaqus the stretch dL/dS at the node of each such element is taken as an internal variable, local to the element (a third internal node is created for this purpose, and so it is not shared with neighboring elements.) 

Above paragraph is excerpted from chapter about Euler beam theory in ABAQUS theory manual.

need help in ansys

I need to find out kinetic energy of the element in the harmonic analyis problem of a plate.

i am using ansys command...in /post1

etable,KE,KENE

but no data is stored on the lable KE

please help and suggest some other means to do the same...or the correct method of issuing this command ..

stress wave propagation problem in Abaqus/Explicit VUMAT

Hello All,



I have written a user material behavior using VUMAT for hyperelastic materials.



I am validating VUMAT on a flat square plate.



1. The plate is subjected to uniaxial loading.

2. It has 4 structured quad elements.

3. One side of the plate is fixed and the opposite side is subjected to shell edge load.

4. The element is of type S4R.



Delamination using cohesive interaction

Hello,

Im trying to simlate delamination in abaqus and after going through the documentation i decided to go for the cohesive element approac. In the documentation it is mentioned that we use a general contact(explicit) for the interation but when i do that i am unable to use general, static step. So which step do i go for if i i want to simulate a static delamination ?
