Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I have an opening for a research fellow for two years from Jan 2023 to Dec 2024. The candidate should have the experience of perfroming multi-physics simulations using comsol for the design of a referator system incorporating LED lightings for the storage of vegetables. The candidate will also need to interact with commercial vendor for the fabrication and installation of the final product. The candidate should have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalence with the relevant experience in thermo/fluid mechanics.

Multiscale mechanics and extreme materials lab (https://z.umn.edu/ravi-research-lab) at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities has two fully funded Ph.D. positions starting in fall 2023. Interested candidates may reach out to sravi [at] umn.edu (sravi[at]umn[dot]edu). The research will be on two main topics
Postdoctoral positions on mechanical metamaterials and/or biomechanics are available at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital. The project on mechanical metamaterials is in collaboration with Prof. Xiaoming Mao at University of Michigan funded by Office of Naval Research (MURI).
We are running a faculty search in the area of Machine Learning at ASU School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy this year. We seek applicants who are interested in developing novel Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence-based approaches for advancing the fields of mechanics and materials engineering. Please feel free to share this information with colleagues, former and current advisees and others that may be interested. Application link:
Happy to announce that along with Oscar Lopez-Pamies from UIUC, I will be hosting a webinar this Friday 11/4 at noon Eastern time. The webinar will discuss undergraduate research opportunities in STEM. It will be held over Zoom but also live-streamed via Facebook.
