We would like to cordially invite you to submit an abstract to Symposium #341 “Mechanics of Heterogeneous Soft Materials on Flexible Structures” at the 18th U.S. National Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (USNC/TAM).

The conference this year is hosted by Northwestern University and will be held at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago from June 4 to June 9, 2018.

The Biomechanics Research Centre at the National University of Ireland, Galway are seeking expressions of interest for several funded-PhD positions in computational modelling of polymer- and metal-based bioresorbable vascular scaffolds, as part of a larger EU Horizon-2020 consortium project.

Openings are available for PhD. students in the Nanomechanical MUltiphysicals lab at UT-Dallas, with a start date of August 2018. Outstanding candidates may be considered for starting in January 2018.

The research topics are experimental in nature, and cover the areas of nanomechanics, electrical-mechanical coupling in nanostructures, and in-situ electron microscopy.
