WCCM-APCOM 2022: Mini-symposium on modelling and simulation of coupled solvent transport and deformation

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to the following mini-symposium at the upcoming WCCM-APCOM Conference to be held in Yokohama, July 31st-Aug 5th, 2022:

0603: Modelling and simulation of coupled solvent transport and deformation

It appears in the Fluid Dynamics and Transport Phenomena section, but it is very much a solid mechanics-oriented mini-symposium!

The (already extended) deadline for abstract submission is January 9.

Postdoc position in Mechanics of Materials at the University of Oxford

Dear Colleagues,

I am looking for a talented and motivated postdoctoral researcher to join my group at the University of Oxford in September 2021 (2-year contract). The project focuses on the constitutive modelling of biodegradable polymers (large deformations coupled to mass transport and chemical reactions). Candidates should have a strong background in continuum mechanics, constitutive modelling (hyperelasticity, viscoplasticity) and finite element methods.

A complete description of the position is attached.
