Two Ph.D. candidate positions are available at the Institute of Structural Analysis (ISD) of Leibniz Universität Hannover within the H2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie European Training Network project FULLCOMP - FULLy integrated analysis, design, manufacturing and health-monitoring of COMPosite structures.

After the successful first edition organized by ISFH and held in Hamelin (Germany) in November 2013, ISD hosts the second edition of the workshop entitled “Impact of mechanical and thermal loads on the long term stability of PV modules”. Scientific coworker / PhD Candidate (Salary scale E13 TV-L)

Tasks:

At Leibniz Universität Hannover, Institute of Structural Analysis, several PhD candidate positions in the field of analysis of composite materials and structures are available (High cycle fatigue of composite materials,  Material modelling for clinching, Structural analysis of wind turbine rotor blades with morphing trailing edge (2 positions), Virtual development of nanoparticle-reinforced composite materials).  

At Leibniz Universität Hannover, Institute of Structural analysis, a Postdoc position is currently available in the context of a three year project on cracks in photovoltaic modules. The objective of the project is the development of numerical models to simulate microcrack initiation and propagation in photovoltaic modules. The project will be carried out in close collaboration with a renowned solar energy research institute and an industrial partner.   

The conference provides an efficient platform for experts on composites analysis.
