How to extract global and stiffness matrix for rotating beam from Ansys?

Submitted by kdevarajanmts on

Hello Everyone,

I am currently doing research on Modal analysis of rotating cantilever beam using finite element analysis. For my research i want to extract global stiffness and mass matrix for rotating beam. I am using ANSYS 14.5 for my analysis. Please anybody know this means please kindly reply .

Expecting a posiitve reply,

With Regards

is it possible because of Mullin's effect?

Submitted by Prahel on

Hello,

I am working on testing of rubber couplings. I have a problem, that while doing torsional test of the coupling, we are getting different values of stiffness with change in time. Even if we do the testing and then take a small break of 10-20 minutes, then also after 20 minutes I am getting different values.

My question is, that is it possible because of Mullin effect? If so, How can we check that the rubber couplings that I have are filled or not( one piece rubber or filler with some other elastomer)?

convert load control to displacement control

Submitted by mjalilych1 on

Hello Dr. scientists

I want to study nonlinear behavior of williams toggle frame by finite element method.

I use of load control method and my results is a little different. is it reasonable that I change to displacement control. if ok please help me on useful literature in this topic.

thanks in advance.

Common questions about developing educational apps

Submitted by Julian J. Rimoli on

This afternoon, I had an extremely pleasant Google hangout with Daniel Suo, and Professors Zhigang Suo and Teng Li . Our main focus was on brainstorming ideas on how to improve the user experience on iMechanica. After an hour or so our conversation drifted towards educational topics including novel ways of incorporating technology in STEM education.
