The book provides a detailed history of the United States National Committee on
Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (USNC/TAM) of the US National Academies,
We would like to invite you to submit abstracts to Symposium D-14: Non-linear Response of Highly Deformable Structures within the “Mechanics of Solids and Structures” track at the 53rd Annual Technical Meeting of the Society of Engineering Science (SES 2016), hosted by the University of Maryland, October 2-5, 2016.
The deadline for abstract submission is June 15, 2016.
Symposium Technical Description
Hi every one,
I am new in ansys and I have a problem,I will be glad if you help me find the solution for it. I want to model a poly crystalline material and I have some problems in defiing material properties. For each grain the material properties is a function of grain size. So for each grain I need to calculate grain volume and use that value to calculate the plastic flow stress and true strain. I want to write a script in ansys to calculate the volume of each grain, calculate the properties and assigh a material with that property to each grain. Can any one help me ?
We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to the symposium on Mechanics of 3D Printed Materials and Structures at the 53rd Annual Technical Meeting of the Society of Engineering Science (SES2016) to be held during October 2-5, 2016 at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center (College Park, MD).
Symposium Technical Description
The Shields Uncertainty Research Group (SURG) in the Dept. of Civil Engineering at Johns Hopkins University is seeking applications for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow. The postdoc will work on an Office of Naval Research (ONR) funded project developing novel stochastic simulation methodologies for quantification and propagation of uncertainty in computational solid/structural mechanics. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related field.
Dear Colleagues,
Please consider submitting abstract (s) to the Symposium D-4"Mechanics in Manufacturing, Synthesis and Processing of Materials, Structures and Devices" at the 2016 SES meeting, to be held in the University of Maryland-College Park During October 2-5, 2016.
Abstract due: June 15, 2016.

Hello
I want to draw the mass gain curve over time, it follows the Fick law but the results I obtained are either instantaneous or ramp.
how to draw?
thank you
Hi all,
I have a question about constrains. Is it possible to apply equation constrain and tie constrain to the same node together in abaqus? I am trying to apply equation constrain to the slave nodes of another tie constrain. Is it possible to make a sequencing for example for those over-constrain nodes?
All the best,
Ugur Mutlu
Brown University School of Engineering Professor Kyung-Suk Kim will receive the 2016 Daniel C.
