Hi friends;
I have three volumes with different materials, I want to define material properties for them in workbench 14, but acp module isn't in it.
How should I define material properties for every layer from volume? Is any way in workbench14 or I should install workbench 15?
my model in workbench is below:
please help me.
Regards.
Simulation of surfaces interaction in 2d model in Abaqus
Dear Subscribers
I am a new abacus user and I am trying to simulate the interaction between two
the surfaces of 2 different parts and materials. Does anybody knows how can I proceed
in this simulation procedure. With pleasure any answer will be helpful from my work.
Thank you in advance
Toughness due to hysteretic deformation
These fragments of notes are intended for a course on fracture mechanics, but I have always run out of time, and have never managed to go over them in class. Some of the ideas are mentioned in various parts of the class. I have also listed refeences and review articles.
[Call for Abstract] SES 2016 Symposium E-1: Mechanics and Electrochemistry of Energy Materials
We would like to invite you to submit abstracts to the symposium on Mechanics and Electrochemistry of Energy Materials at the 53rd Annual Technical Meeting of the Society of Engineering Science (SES 2016) to be held at University of Maryland College Park (October 2-5, 2016).
Symposium Description
The stress intensity factor and Young's Modulus
The stress intensity factor and Young's Modulus
It is evident that stress intensity factor considered as the most important factor in fracture mechanics which used for evaluating the stress state near to tip crack . However this factor depends up many parameters (such us normal loading, cracks size and its geometry). my question is as follow
The stress intensity factor is depend of Young's modulus, How to identify the effect of Young's modulus on the variation of stress intensity factors.
PhD opportunity at the University of Southampton - UK/EU students only
This project is part of a larger effort aiming at designing the next generation of high strain rate tests of materials based on modern ultra-high speed deformation imaging and inverse identification. This project is partly funded by the US Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) who have an interest in high strain rate behaviour of carbon fibre polymer matrix composites. The selected candidate will join a group of half a dozen researchers working on similar topics as part of the Photodyn project (www.photodyn.org).
mesh file
Hi everybody;
I have a meshing model in workbench, I want to open it in APDL ANSYS. How should do this work?
please help me.

cell mechanics
Experimental studies recently performed on single cancer and healthy cells have demonstrated that the former are about 70% softer than the latter, regardless of the cell lines and the measurement technique used for determining the mechanical properties.
coupled heat transfer and mass diffusion
hi,
I want to couple heat transfer and mass diffusion in abaqus. Is this possible?
If yes, how?
