IHPC is seeking a highly motivated research scientist to conduct research in computational mechanics specifically in soft robotics. The project focuses on developing and adopting large deformation constitutive model for smart materials, simulation of soft robotic behavior with complex contact scenarios, and machine learning study on the dynamics of soft robotic system.

Hello eveyone
I am struggling in computing the energy release rates (ERRs) for a kinked carck from an interface crack. I have used the Revised VCCT. I made the calcuations by hand. I wonder if I can implement the kinked crack in Abaqus and let it do the calculations of the ERRs.
A fully funded PhD position is available as early as Spring, 2022 in Dr. Ning Zhang’s research group at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), the department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics.
