The dynamic behavior and multifunctional laboratory at the University of South Carolina is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar to be filled as soon as possible. Successful applicants have had a doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Applicant should describe innovative fundamental research in the mechanical engineering related to experimental Mechanics. Examples include but are not limited to high strain properties of materials, digital image correlation, inverse methods.

Professor Mary Boyce (Columbia University) has been selected to receive the 2015 Engineering Science Medal from the Society of Engineering Sciences (SES); Professor Huajian Gao (Brown University) will receive the Prager Medal; Prof. Gary Leal (UCSB) will receive the Taylor Medal; and Professor Liping Liu (Rutgers University) will receive the Young Investigator Medal.
