[Hiring] PhD Student in Ultrasonics at the Ohio State University
Ultrasonics Laboratory in the Material Science & Engineering
department is looking for a PhD student in the areas of ultrasonic characterization
of polycrystalline materials, composites and bonded structures. The position is
supported by research grants and is intended for several years. Strong
background in experimental and modeling aspects acoustics/ultrasonics
and signal processing is preferable. An MS degree in
Ansys Mechanical
Hello sir,
i am new to ANSYS mechanical for just to know in ANSYS Mechanical up to what tolerance limit it can handel (either we can model in micro, nano scale).is there any separate procedure or software to analyse these type of problem
Thank you sir

Post-doc Position in Atomistic Modeling at Rice University
A postdoctoral associate position is available at Rice University in the
area of atomistic and molecular modeling of nanoscale friction and defects in an assembly of
nanoparticles. Computational techniques will be integrated to approaches from statistical
mechanics and physical chemistry to provide quantitative predictions of properties of complex
oxide materials across different time- and length-scales. The research will be carried out at Rice
University's Multiscale Materials Modeling Lab.

How to explain the coefficient of Hill 48 yield criterion?
Can someone help me to explain the derivation of the coefficent ?
In the paper "A theory of the yielding and plastic flow of anisotropic metals", the Hill 48 yield criterion:
The quadratic Hill yield criterion for thin rolled plates (plane stress conditions) can be expressed as:

Plotting stress vs strain curve in abaqus
Dear All,
I am modelling a bridge rubber bearing using hyperelastic material (Rubber) and steel plates in abaqus. i am using mooney-rivlin hyperelastic model for rubber
After running the analysis . i like to plot the stress vs strain graph for the rubber material only and then compare it with the mooney rivlin model .can anyone tell me how to do it ?
I am very new
