THERMAL ANALYSIS-CONVECTION FILM COEFFICIENT

Submitted by anand m on

My thermal simulation in the alternator required convective coefficient . Presently i have computed convective coefficient for stator, rotor, rectifier assembly by thermal testing at steady state condition. I have completed thermal simulation for these components of the alternator . Next, i want to perform thermal simulation for entire alternator. Is there anybody, provide me guidance to formulate correlation between geomentry, ambient condition, convective flim coefficient.Further, i have to model contact among components in the alternator. it requires thermal contact conductance.

Topic 27: Geothermal Energy a clean, safe, environmentally friendly and sustainable energy source

Submitted by michael saiki on

(http://www.renewableenergyworld.com/rea/tech/geothermal-energy) This is a very clean, environmentally friendly and sustainable energy source. It is the heat from the earth crust. The heart of the earth is about 12000 degrees farenheit. Geothermal systems tap into this inexhaustive though not generally available energy source. Example is  Reykjavik the capital of Iceland which islocated near hot springs.
