Hello All,

Does anyone have any idea how to automate meshing  using USER DEFINED ELEMENTS (for Example UEL) in Abaqus using python. Actually I need to mesh an arbitrary shaped structure  with 9-Node Quadrilateral Element. Abaqus doesn't support meshing of  9 Node Quad Element (S9R) either. 

I am looking for the Ansys Workbench Scripting guide where all python accostomed classes and methods are documented for ANSYS WB.

Hi,

I am using a bridge model with Tet element as mesh in the structure. I have given many static loads in deck surface . After submitting 'Job' gets stresses of different element label of the deck as report. I want to now calculate the volume of single element (tet element) so that I become successful in calculting the damaged volume due to the load. Is there any option to get the volume of the meshed elements.

hi all

i have a problem about abaqus a want to rotate a sheet and form it with a roller it sod rotate about axial but wen i want to rotate it hade a problem about ignored BC that rotated the sheet. i define Bc for to nod in sheet center and velocity rotation to all of sheet . 

plz help me to solve this problem
