It
should be banned. NO to Fracking

During
a visit to Ales a region in southern France, The former President of France
Nicolas Sarkozy maintained the ban on fracking of shale gas until a better
technology that will not harm the ecosystem and destroy the landscape
(Bloomberg BusinessWeek).

The
process of fracking (extraction) and one of the major components of Shale Gas
are both hazardous, thus my outright kick against it. An in-depth look at the
two key drivers to my conclusion;

(1)  A descriptive
explanation of the fracking process can be seen in the picture above, it
involves the drilling of a hole most often through an aquifer, pumping under
high pressure millions of gallons of chemicals, rocks and sand, this pollutes
the water that serves communities and wildlife. This process also affect to
seismicity of the topography making the area prone to micro earthquakes

(2)  Methane release
contaminates water and can also cause explosion of the mine area.

Any
innovation and technology that possess a threat to human life and the
environment is not worth advancing, thus my stand on No fracking of shale gas.
