Position: Computational Solid Mechanics Engineer

Global Engineering Research and Technologies (www.gertechnologies.com) is seeking an

outstanding candidate for a computational solid mechanics engineer position.

The position requires the engineer to develop simulation methodologies and

codes for solid mechanics applications. Code development involves both new and

existing codes. In addition to excellent technical knowledge, the engineer is

expected to have initiative, research-minded critical thinking, good

communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. The engineer is

expected to write/participate in research proposals.  

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in mechanical, aerospace or structural

    engineering, or mechanics. Exceptional candidates with M.Sc. in above

    fields will be considered.
  • Code development experience in Fortran or C/C++ that is

    demonstrable. Experience in parallel computing and linux-OS level

    proficiency is desired.
  • Evidence of experience in computational solid

    mechanics.
  • Evidence of communication (written and verbal) and

    presentation skills. Experience in proposal writing and securing funding

    is desired.
